What a good movie! The English name is "The Place Beyond The Pines". Its Chinese name "末路車神" is really misleading and bad. Don't expect movie of car or motorcying racing. It is a movie to let you think and judge.
The movie is slow in the beginning, try to enjoy and "taste" it. The movie is consisted of three connected stories and the related ordinary people of 2 generations and their 命運. The director wants to bring up lots of things through this movie. Is the bank robber absolutely bad and harmful, do the police officers by default honest and good, won't you do soemthing that you did hate it ?...there is no absolute answer. In our society, same kind, similar/same character and same type of people and stories keeps "repeating" (in Chinese, 循環). I like the ending. It seems to give a hope.
The Director, Cianfrance did a very good job from the beginning till the end. The actors, Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper are so good and cool and perform so good in the movie. That two kids are good as well.
