Any regular M5 users here?

I have recently re-acquired an M5 after selling my first one over 2 years ago.  In these 2 years or so I have gained more experience with other M bodies, and now the M5 (a mint one sold by a very nice ching) is one of my favorite cameras .

Things that I've come to love about the M5...
- The last of the Wetzlar built cameras - solid workhourse, sturdy.  Shutter sound should be among the quietest of all film Ms.  Smooth film advance...
- An excellend secondary camera - I prefer to hang the camera vertically (with the 2 strag lugs on the left).  The main camera is hung around the neck, and the M5 hanging on the left shoulder
- Especially when the camera is hung vertically, I found it much easier to carry heavy lenses outside (compared with, say, the MP).  The massive 8.5cm Summarex is quite usable on an M5.
- Of course, the easy to use shutter speed dial is a unique edge of the M5...

In real life usage it's quite similar.  Just a few points of differences. M5 is kind of like center spot metering.  Also, some say metering is most accurate when held in the horizontal position.  Not much difference for me.

For metering, two issues I have with M5 is that the meter is not sensitive to dim light (MP is better for dim light shooting).  Also, the metering is continuously active unless (1) an exposure is made and the shutter is not cocked, or (2) the lens cap is on.  So need to adjust shooting behaviors a bit.  Often I just turn aperture to F/16 or F/22 to minimize battery drain (but battery life should be long for M5.

I find Leica's 28mm lenses - which are large in size - fit very well with M5.  To bad there is no 28mm framelines...

By the way - I just learnt that 3-lug chrome M5s are very hard to come by.  And yours is in very good condition!
