Sure.

I don't have a 149 so I compared it with Pelikan M800.  The size is much smaller.

The pen is intended to be used with cap unposted.  Although it is short, but it feels in creditably balanced when use.  Some described the nib as semi-flexible, but I don't have the calligraphic skill to test it.  But the nib is not Japanese pen' nail hard nib.
I have got the regular M nib and it feel montblanc smooth.  That is no surprise and smoothness as expected.

To add ink, just pull out the top knob and twist the piston.  The mechanism feels very solid.

Same thing happened to me, but when I walked pass the 萬宜大廈 pen shop and they have 15% off ...

今日用好耐之前買的 Stipula, 好smooth.  但是因為保存的不好 ebonite 變了咖啡色。
