FS407 around $40,000 but FS409 $80,000.   You can try at 旺角天下影音.

FS407 is already excellent and smaller in size.  FS409's sound is so completed with much better bass.

Yeah, exactly the dilemma I need to face with.  While on the subject of speakers, I might try TAD LAB TSM-2201, I *think* they are less sensitive for stands but their size are not small though

但如果要再升級 , 我5 揀 FS409 , 會轉去 AVALON {:5_224 ...

Avalon is also very good choice. If I have not tried FS409, Avalon is my next consideration at the price range.

Couldn't agree more! I would not consider bookshelf speakers + stands myself! As I have kids, floor stand speakers are actually safer for them. I heard from a C-hing that his bookshelf speakers have been knocked down by his cats a couple times......
