I have not seen any flare photo of this lens and
so I do not know how serious it is.

When this lens flare, it is quite serious. Many shots could end up useless.

Congradulations !! It seems Leica has finally fixed the problem.

I hope so; so the problem is even when you are not
shooting the sun, you have the flare effect.  As I have
tested the lens, all shots are normal

Let me clarify:
1. There is no problem when the sun is behind you.
2. The problem exists when sun light directly or at an angle fall on the front lens element. This lens could flare so badly that it is not acceptable by normal standard.
