It's good or not very depends on whether the watcher is the fan of Marvel comic.
Actually The Guardians of the Galaxy is interrelated to Avengers.
Ronan's ally, Thanos is the most powerful enemy of the Avengers.  He beats Hulk and other heroes easily.


Also, if you can remember, Thanos' representative (who was killed by Ronan in Guardians of the Galaxy) also helped Loki (Thor's brother) to attack New York in The Avengers.
