A7-A7r Specs reminder: In case you are confused by the many rumors I posted lately here are the SR5 info on the cameras:
- A7 has 24 Megapixel sensor with Phase detecion AF
- A7r has 36 Megapixel with no on sensor Phase detection and no Anti Aliasing filter for maximum sharpness
- A7 body costs $1698 and $1998 with 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens. A7r costs $2198 body only.
- Both cameras have a fixed OLED EVF with 2,4 million dot resolution. It’s the same used by the Olympus E-M1
- AF speed is faster than the RX series.
- Takes SD cards and uses the NEX battery
- A7/A7r Body is weather sealed
- 1/8000 shutter speed
- titlable LCD screen
- focus peaking
- Built-in Wifi and NFC
- Playmemories Camera Apps
- The menu interface is the same as the RX series (and not the one used by NEX cameras).
- optional vertical grip
- New LAEA Full Frame A to E-mount adapter
- Current NEX APS-C lenses will work in crop mode or Full Frame mode (with heavy vignetting or dark corners)

Sony G 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS

many more lenses coming the next 12 months (including fast primes).
actually i like the look. NEX is a bit too small for me. But it is a matter of personal preference.
I'm very happy that I don't need to buy M240 for having a full frame body for my M lenses. I'm sure this camera will be an excellent travel companion. The problem for me now is I have way too many digital systems. It will be a pain for me to buy another digital body, and with all the depreciation of value associated with it. But I kind of feel that this camera is hard to resist.

I know!!! I really hate carrying my D800E since my last trip to Japan. It is just too heavy to car ...

it is easy for me to say, but I'll give up all and use only the Sony 36mp. It is not as good as H4D but H4D will never be able to take that picture. I believe pictures will improve by concentrating on a lighter and smaller camera that one is familiar with.

i agree with you, honestly. just way too many systems. H4D is excellent if I need to do serious work with superb skin tone. D800E is now kind of in an embarrassing situation. It is a good camera actually. Only that I'm no longer a good (or at least dedicated) photographer! Selling digital each time also means losing tons of money. wooo woooo...... wrong wrong wrong!!
