It's sort of an annual reunion in Beijing with two office colleagues who worked with me back in year 2002.
They toke me to a local hotpot restaurant where late coming customers after 6pm had to queue up for tables.
This restaurant also prepares lamb shashlik on an outdoor charcoal stove.
This BBQ lamb was great, the best I ever had. Tender, juicy and deliciously not-over-herbed as many XingJiang recipes are.
My Monochrom was mounted with Cosina's current replica of the old thread-mount Nokton 50.5.
It is such a lens that looks one of the prettiest barrel designs in my drybox. And of course, fast enough for the evening.
