50AA is ultra ultra modern, even more so than 35FLE!  It's 3D-ness looks almost unreal.

50 Elcan is flatter but more pleasing to the eyes.  I like the low contrast.  It surely has "old world charm".

Btw it looks like the AA shot was not 100% in focus on the eye, whereas the Elcan shot was more in focus.  50AA is supposed to be able to have good resolution even for 80lp/mm.

even if the 50AA shot is not 100% in focus as suggested, the gain on tonal gradation and micro contrast are less that I expected, or may be the Elcan 50 is just too good
