This is one of the films that I can never get it to develop right.  The followings are the ONLY exception!  I have stopped using the film for many many years.  Perhaps I should give it a few more tries.

Film: Kodak Tri-x (forgot what developer I used at the time.  It probably was DDX)

If I have to pick one b/w film for the rest of my life.  This is probably it - Fuji Arcos 100.

Film: Fuji Acros 100 (exposed at 80) developed with Kodak HC110

This is yet another part of our film history - Kodak Porta 400VC.  

I must say that the Schneider Xenotar lens, which I used for this photo, is just amazing.  Unfortunately, the camera system is no longer with me...

Hai, I can never get Tri-x developed right.  It is almost always turn out very flat.  The new TX is even harder for me.  I must have to learn from the c-hings here.

Unfortunately, I have never had the chance to try digital other than taking family photos with my wife's EOS-M.  With that being said, however, I have seen truly exceptional digital photos!!!

i used to shoot a lot of films too. at one point, i really liked developing color prints. i would spend 12 hours straight in the darkroom. it was just fun.

now i shoot mainly digital. the biggest reason is i have no darkroom in hk. most labs in hk just can't give the result i want. and to be fair, nowadays digital cameras are already really good. in some cases, even better than film, i think.

but from time to time, you know, i just always want to go back to film. well.. shooting film is art.

I have never developed color stuffs myself.  I do not have the equipment, let alone knowledge and expertise.  My interest lies only in b/w (more on the fine art side).  That said, I do like vibrant / colorful slides

Yes, you are right about digital.  I have seen amazing digital outputs that technically outperform films.

Fuji Provia 100F, a very nice slide film.

Fuji Neopan 400 with Kodak HC110.  Unfortunately, shadows are not showing up very well.

To me, Arcos 100 is probably "THE" b/w film.  The only issue is that it is a tiny bit harder to handle in the darkroom due to its thiner structure.
