If you don't mind, 1.4 is not included as I think 1.4 and 1.5 represent different development stage of lenses.

I think I have around a dozen Sonnar 50/1.5. The best is properly the very old black nickel version. From my experience, I will try to avoid the early post-war West Germany version, i.e. the chrome ring version as it may have three black haze spots around the rim of the front group and cannot be fixed. All other West Germany versions should be good.

Contarex version is different from Sonnar design and may have a different taste.
