Hi, this is actually a Polaroid emulsion lift (so yes, this image is a reproduction of a photograph): a Polaroid 669 print was made from a ektachrome slide using a Vivitar slide printer, and then the print was soaked in hot water to separate the emulsion so that it could be transfered to a plastic sheet; the emulsion was subsequently transferred onto a piece of art paper. The process can be frustrating at times but quite a lot of fun. I believe you can also use FP-100 for emulsion lift but I've never tried it. |
