I would prefer a 28mm lens with a smaller physical size unless there is a significant different in the quality of picture.

Absolutely agree. Its is just that stupid thing in my mind about f1.4 after having 10+ 28mm @f2/2.8/3.5/5.6 in the dry cabinet

Thanks bubu, the old man was 90 yrs old and he had a great life. It is just that I can't stop missing him. I regretted that I didn't take more pictures of him.

Puts' article detoxifies you from SX28 but poisons me on the Elmarit-M 28 for its all round goodness (size and cost).

I do not use 28 often, in fact, rarely use it.
I find it difficult to include enough things inside the frame, in daily activities shots.
(Well, very likely it's just my lack of skill ... )

But in this Chinese New Year trip to West Lake, I mounted 28/2.8A onto M240P, just for a test.
It was so cold there that I thought I wouldn't shoot much anyway ...

The following are a few shots (busy lately, so no time to edit, or just minimally edited, dragged from iPhoto, and resize)

嘩，俾你呢脚咁猛踢落嚟，想唔中落氹都唔得喇。

幾年前都有支Elmarit-M 28/2.8 (11606)，但嗰時開始中意拍美少女，嫌佢唔够50mm咁好用，閒置後出咗。

数月前去雲南，試吓用支箱底貨Nikkor 28/3.5，夾M-P240方便hyper focus同拍風景，一試就一直心思思想補番支。諗過Cron和Lux，不過又贵又大碌，都係Elmarit啱使。仲係E39。
