The movie is entertaining and exicting.
The movie is based on a true story of hijacking of the U.S. Container Maersk Alabama in 2009 by Somali pirates in 2009. The story is based on the book, A Captain's Duty: Somali Pirates, Navy Seals and Dangerous Days at Sea.
There are 3 captains in the movie, Phillips (captain of the Maersk Alabama), Muse (captain of the small pirate boat) and Frank (commander and captain of US 驅 逐 艦 USS Bainbridge who is the in-charge of the operating in the rescue of Phillips with the assistance of other two US vessels and Navy Seals).
The movie is very real and quite neatral about US and Somali. I have given my sympathy to those 4 Somaii pirates and the Somali people. Do they have a choice and do they really want to be pirates? The commander and that 3 US vessels and those Seals are really a joke in the rescue. Imagine, 3 modern and well-equipped US vessels with the seals vs one very small rescue boat with 4 newly pirates (who became pirate for just a few days), what do you feel of the situation?
The performance of Tom Hanks in the ending is really wonderful. His expression of emotion, scare, nervous, relief, crying...just perfect. Muse, the pirate leader is good as well.
